Cornwall has a rich and engaging hhstory of art and artistK and 1$ a creative hub for ao design and artistic
prdctice today. The main activity to fi￿er our puttK)se has been to support projects and events for public
benefit that explore art. artists and design with links io this heritsge and curre¢1 practices in Cornwall.
The trustees confTh thai they have complied with the requirements of section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to
have due regard to the Public Benefit guidance pthblished by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.

Nature of governing document
Th¢ Trust was r¢gistercd 3s a Charithle Incorwdttd (hganisation (CIO - Nol190650) in 2020 and hence has a
constitution. The only persons eligible to be membeTS of the CIO are its chariiy Trnstees. and any Tnember and
charity trustee who C￿eS to be a charity trustee autOm￿l¢allY ceaw th be a member of the CIO. The Board has
the power to appoini additional trustees as it considers fit to do so.
Alihough specific rraining is required for trustee5. the CIO constitution, latest Annua] Report and
Statement of Accounts ate made available, and they ar¢ madc aware of the useful guidan¢¢ offered by the
Charity Commission and other5. Policy decision5 aTe made by the Board at regular meetings.
Finanti*l instrurnents
Objeciives and policics
The charity's activities expose it to a number of financial risks including credii risL flow risk and liquidiry
risk. The use of fjnaneial derivatives hs uovemed bv the charity"s ￿lICIeS approved by the board of trustees,
which provide written principles on the use of fir￿icial derivatives to manage these risks. The charity does not
use derivativt financial instruTnents for speCul￿1ve purposes.
Cash now risk
The charity's activities expose it primarily to the financial risks of changes In foreign currency exchanoe rates
and interest rates. The charity uses foreign exchange f(brward contracs and interest rate swap contracts to hedge
these exposures_
Intrrest bearkng assets and liabilities are held at r￿e￿ rate to ensure certainty of flows.
Credit risk
The charsty's priTbcipal financial assets are bank balance5 and cash. trade and other receivables. and investments.
The Charity's credit risk is primarily attributsble to its trade receivables. The amounts pie5ented in the balance
sheei are net of allowances for doubtful teceivables. An allowance for impaimitnt Ès n￿de where ihere is an
idenlilied loss event which. based on previo￿ experience. i5 ¢vidence of a reduaion in the Fecoverability of the
cash flows.
The credit risk on liqllid fi￿d5 and derivaiive financtal instruments is limited because the counterparties are
banks wilh high credit-ratings asSI￿¢d by international credit-rdtin8 agencies.
The charity has no 5ignifi¢ani concentrdtion of tredit risK with exposure spread over a laT8e number of
counierparties and cusiomers.

Little Parc Owles Trusi meets the definition of a public benefit enlity under FRS 102. The aecounts (financial
statements) have been prepared under the historical cost eonveniion with iiems recognised at cost or transaction
value unless otherwise Stated in the relevani note(s) io these accounts.

The Chariry is considered to pass the tests set out in Parngraph I Schedule 6 of the Finanee Act 2010 and
thereforc it meets the definition of a charitable cornpany for UK corporation tax purposes. Accordingly. the
chartty is potentially exempt froTn taxation in respect of in¢ome or capital gain5 received within categories
covered by Chapter 3 Part I l of the Corpordtion Tax Act 2010 or Section 256 of the Taxation of Ch8rgeable
Gains Act 1992, to the extent that such tncome or gains are applied exclusively to chaTltable purposes.
