100TH BOMB GROUP MEMORIAL MUSEUM REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025 Objectives and activities The objects of the organisation are to advance the education and research of the public by maintaining and developing a museum and memorial for the exhibition and preservation of aircraft, aeronautical objects and information related to those associated with the 1 Ooth Bomb Group based at Thorpe Abbotts circa 194345. Access to the museum The museum continued its normal policy of opening on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays (from March to Remembrance Dayl, and Wednesdays between May and September. In addition, upon special request, the Trustees opened the museum on certain 'closed" days to welcome pre-booked organised lour groups and veterans, family members. All visitors to the museum continue to enjoy free admission. Govemance Trustee meetings were held during the year on a regular basis to conduct the charity's normal business and to consider and make decisions on significant Issues arising. This Included the consideration and agreement of new policies to be adopted and followed by Trustees and Volunteers. During the year, the Trustees decided to appoint Lovewell Blake, Chartered Accountsnts based in Norwich, as the charity's Independent Examiner and professional advisers. Voluntegrs The Trustees have Continued to lake steps lo attract new volunteers to cope with the greater frequency of the museum being open, and in anticipation of the two new Nissen huts being completed. As in previous years, the Trustees are indebted to members of the 1 OOARW, RAF Mildenhall, who readily gave up their time to come and assist the Trustees and volunteers on several open days. TrainiTng The Trustees have updated the Volunteers Handbook to provide guidance to both new and existing volunteers on the processes in place to run and maintain the museum. As in previous years, an Induction Day was held prior lo the new season to familiarise new volunteers with what was expected of them on open days and other visitor days. Seeurlty, Health and Safety The Trustees continue to update the security equipment, enabling 24-hour remote monitoring of the sile. During open days, key exhibits have a Volunteer stslioned nearby al all limes. Fire safely and electrical safely checks have been carried out lo limelable on a rolling basis. Separate monitored fire alarm systems operate in the key buildings of the museum lo increase fire safely and to protect valuable exhibits. Exhibits and improved visitor experience A number of exhibits have been refreshed, updated or acquired. New exhibits are being prepared for display in the new Nissen huts, the smaller of which was completed by the yearend. The range of merchandise in the museum shop was expanded, along with the number of hot drinks and snacks offered in the museum café. Social Media The Trustees continue lo look al ways to improve our social media presence and other ways to communicate with the local community The charity does not make grants.
100TH BOMB GROUP MEMORIAL MUSEUM REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025 Investment The Investment Policy of the Trustees is lo maximise income and to enhance the value of funds by sound investment. The Trustees have collective responsibility for all investment funds held by the charity. The Trustees do not have an ethical policy of investment bul as described earlier, take great care in managing the charity's investment funds. Volunteers The organisation is run entirely by volunteers. The Trustees were pleased to be able lo show their appreciation of the Volunteers, contribution by their annual Appreciation Event al the end of the 2025 season. Public benefit The museum continues lo be well known and respected in ils field, and it currently holds Accredited Museum. stslus. The Trustees confirm that in maintaining and developing the museum and memorial, they have had regard to the Charity Commission's guidan on public benefit. Achievements and performance Museum visitors Visitor numbers for the year did not reach the heights of 2024 but were still significantly above those achieved prior to the pandemie. The continuing interest shown in the museum following the TV screening by Apple+ of 'Masters of the 'r was undoubtedly the main driving factor behind these higher figures. In addition, the Trustees and Volunteers were delighted to welcome several families of veterans who served at the base, along with a number of organised tour groups from the USA. Thlrdparty events As in previous years, a small number of Trustees were invited lo deliver presentations about the 1 Oolh Bomb Group at local talks or events. Events at the museum A number of formal military ceremonies were conducted at the museum by personnel of 100ARW, RAF Mildenhall, along with Leadership training days. Investment As described earlier, the Trustees have been aclioning their 2024 decision lo expand the museum's premises. The new Nissen huts gradually look shape through the year, and the smaller of the was completed by the year-end. Work is continuing lo finish the building of the large Nissen hut as soon as possible, not just through the work of the main contractor bul with a considerable voluntary contribution by members of the museum Maintenance Team. A limited range of new exhibits have been acquired and placed In the small hul - this is now open to visitors and plans are being finalised for new exhibits lo be acquired for display in the large Nissen hul.

The charity's principal sources of funds are the profits of the shop as donated up from the retail subsidiary, visitor and veteran family donations, and interest on investments. The major items of expenditure comprise security and fire safely, insurance, leasinglrenlal of electronic equipment, museum maintenance and eleclricily, all necessary lo keep the museum running and in good condition. Reseryes policy The charity's policy, as agreed by the Trustees, is to build up and retain sufficient reserves to ensure, as far as possible, the future existenTr of the museum. Vvhere considered necessary or beneficial lo the visitor experience, reserves are drawn on lo maintain and improve the fabric and appearan of the museum buildings, displays and exhibits. As at 31 December 2025 the charity had reserves of £295,49312024.. £408,969). Related party tronsactiTons The charity owns 100'/o of the share capital in the company 1 OOBGMM (Trading) Limited. This company gift aids its profits in full lo the charity. The following related paty transactions have occurred during the year ended 31 December 2025. Receipts from 1008GMM (Trading) Ltd tolalling £35,311 12024. £12,734). Payments lo trustees lotalled £4,11912024". £4,243). These related to amounts reimbursed for purchases of museum goods and consumables. A balance of £51,687 was due from 1008GMM (Trading) Ltd at the year-end {2024'. £17,212). Plans for future periods The charity Trustees intend lo continue with the charity's charitable purposes as detailed above.

Appointment and recruitment of Trustees Trustees are appointed by a resolution passed al a properly convened meeting of the charity Trustees.
