SORP<br>reference<br>Summary of the  Para 1.17 The Innocence Project London (IPL)<br>purposes of the charity  provides students with the<br>as set out in its<br>opportunity to review and investigate<br>governing document<br>cases of convicted individuals who<br>have maintained their innocence but<br>have exhausted the criminal appeals<br>process.  The aim of our work is to<br>submit an application to the Criminal<br>Cases Review Commission (CCRC) on<br>behalf of our clients. The CCRC is an<br>independent body which reviews<br>possible miscarriages of justice in the<br>United Kingdom. ||Summary of the main<br>achievements of the<br>charity, identifying the<br>diference the charity’s<br>work has made to the<br>circumstances of its<br>benefciaries and any<br>wider benefts to society<br>as a whole.|Para 1.20|**I**n the reporting period the charity<br>has:<br>30 Sept 2020 - IPL hosted our frst<br>global event and webinar for 300<br>people, which was a talk by<br>Californian IP Director Justin Brooks<br>26 Oct 2020 - students from the IPL<br>trained lawyers at Weil, Gotshal &<br>Manges for case assessment work<br>which upskilled Weil lawyers on the<br>case assessment process and<br>provided the students with exposure<br>to a law frm<br>Oct 2020 - website created for the IPL<br>which provides clear information for<br>prospective applicants, volunteers<br>and donors<br>March 2021 - hosted the IPL annual<br>symposium online which was<br>attended by 180 people from around<br>the world<br>Oct 2021 - fundraising drive for<br>International Wrongful conviction da,<br>which raised awareness of our work<br>Nov 21-Jan 22 - IPL hosted a series of<br>three online awareness raising events<br>with the Clinical Legal Education<br>Network (CLEO) aimed at legal<br>educators and students around the<br>world<br>Sept 21-Aug 22 - worked on six cases<br>and two in progress draft applications<br>to the CCRC. Six individuals received<br>work on their claim to innocence that<br>otherwise would not be able to aford<br>it<br>Sept 21 - Weil, Gotshal & Manges<br>instructed QEB Chambers to act on<br>behalf of one of the IPL’s clients on a<br>pro bono basis. The client would<br>otherwise not be able to aford this<br>kind of support<br>Dec 21 – recruited seven trustees to<br>the board of IPL**.**||
