Activities

The Innocence Project London (IPL) is a charity which works pro bono to deconstruct claims of innocence. Students working alongside practising lawyers and academics, review and investigate cases of convicted individuals who have have exhausted the criminal appeals process with the aim of making applications to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC)

Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is To Promote The Sound Development And Administration Of The Law For The Benefit Of The Public In The Following Ways:a) By Providing Administrative And Expert Support In Collaboration With Other Public Bodies To Convicted Individuals Whose Convictions May Be Unsafe; B) By Making Submissions To The Criminal Cases Review Commission On Behalf Of Individuals Who Claim To Be Wrongfully Convicted Or Who Have Suffered A Miscarriage Of Justice; C) By Creating Awareness About Wrongful Convictions And Miscarriages Of Justice In England And Wales; D) By Creating Awareness Of Issues Concerning The Disclosure Of Evidence Post-Conviction Through Conducting Research And By Publishing Useful Results; Ande) By Promoting Education And Conducting Research Into Areas Of Criminal Law.
