DoGUSign Envelope ID." CC65C76K5A440EE_9052.EC609CE1 DBEB Introduction Thank you for opening our 2024 Annual Report. For new readers, the Nonesuch Rowing Foundation is the independent charity which supports participation in rowing for students at the University of Bristol and Bristol's community. One of the aims of putting together a report like this is to open the bonnet and show everyone the inner workings of the charity. We hope this year's report shows you how donations are raised and spent, the great progress we've made towards our fundraising goals, and what our strategy is for the near future. Above all, this report is a way for the trustees and beneficiaries of the Nonesuch Rowing Foundation to say a huge thank you to all of the charity's supporters. Thank you again for the kind and generous support on which our success is built. Tom Davies On behalf of the Nonesuch Rowing Foundation Trustees Introduction 3

DoGUSign Envelope ID." CC65C76K5A440EE_9052.EC609CE1 DBEB Club Grants A large and modern fleet of boats is essential to maximise participation in rowing. The Nonesuch Rowing Foundation's aim is to provide club grants to the Universily of Bristol Boat Club (UBBC} for the purchase of boats and equipment which will be available for use by students at the University of Bristol and members of Bristol's community. In 2024 the charity made two Club Grants to UBBC for the purchase of a new two-person boat specifically for the women's squad, and a video analysis & presentation display screen for use by the club and the charity. Women's Pair/Double With thanks to a generous donation from the Bailhard Trust, the Nonesuch Rowing Foundation purchased a two-person boat specifically for the women's squad of the University of Bristol Boat Club. The purchase of this boat increases the number of small boats available to the women's squad. Rowing in less stable small boats accelerates progress in rowing skill development. The boat is convertible between sweep rowing and sculling, allowing rowers to develop their skills in both disciplines. Video Analysis Display Screen The trustees approved the purchase of a large television display screen and stand for UBBC'S coaches to conduct video analysis sessions, other educational presentations, and for the club and the charity to use for recruitment and fundraising events. 6 Club Grants

AIIMaA<One cc The addition of a new pair for the University of Bristol Boat Club women's squad marks an exciting turning point in the development of our fleet. Foryears we've only had one pair suitable for women in the fleet - having two pairs allows us to expand our training methods to focus on individual technique, while fostering healthy competition within the squad. We're incredibly grateful for the support from Nonesuch that made this possible. It s a privilege to be part of a community that continually invests in the future of women's rowing at Bristol, and this addition is yet another sign of the exciting things to come. )) Josie Sawbridge University of Bristol Boat Club Women's Squad Captain UNWE￿}￿ DFBRNrJ Il Club

DoGUSign Envelope ID." CC65C76K5A440EE_9052.EC609CE1 DBEB Individual Grants The Nonesuch Rowing Foundation widens access to and encourages participation in the amateur sport of rowing by offering individual grants to students at the University of Brislol and members of Brislol's community. These grants are intended lo enable individuals to participate in rowing where personal financial cost would othe￿iSe be a barrier to their participation, with a focus on those from low-income backgrounds. The trustees accepted applications for individual grants throughout 2024 via an online form on the charity's website. Following receipt the trustees assessed applications in accordance with the charity's grant-making policy. Individual Grants awarded in 2024 The trustees awarded two individual grants totalling £500- both were £250 per award. Both grants were awarded to cover the costs of participation in national rowing events. The trustees only received two Individual Grant applications throughout the course of the year. The trustees would like to welcome more applications for individual grants and encourage any potential applicants to visit the charity's website to check their eligibility and apply online.. ubbcalumni.comlnrf/apply. Transport & accommodation 2 grants £500 cc This grant has really helped to remove the financial barrier of rowing for me. Rowing has been so valuable to my university experience so far building positive friendships where we can push one another and improve together is inc￿diblY rewarding and has helped to form incredible bonds. Your generosity really does make a differen￿ to those who need it. I truly hope that continued support from the Nonesuch Rowing Foundation can help to bring many more people like me to the sport, allowing us to not just develop a passion for rowing, but also to develop positive habits and characteristics in such a influential stage of our lives. )) 2024 Individual Grant Recipient Individual Grants

Docusign Envelope ID CC65C76￿5A44OEE.gos2.Ec60QCEl DBEB Our Fundraising Strategy and Next Steps Our focus is on increasing income from regular donations. Regular donations encourage a larger part of our community to contribute, are more sustainable and easier to forecast, and allow us to build up a bank of capital so we can be more responsive to urgent equipment needs. We have a goal to increase our regular donation income to £30.000 per year. This would enable the purchase of a new boat almost every year, allowing more students access to modern and reliable equipment so they can participate in rowing more often, and to a higher standard. Our Fundraising Target: £30,000 regular donations per year Our Goals 200 £10 Donors /month avg Gift Aid rnnl £10.38 GOAL MET Grow our number of regular donors to 200 people Increase our average donation amount to £10 per month Ensure every eligible donor contributes Gift Aid 200 donors x £10 per month x 12 months per year + 250/0 Gift Aid £30,000 per year We're delighted to see that we've now met our goal to increase our average regular donation amount to £10, largely driven by donors joining our "1909 Club" level of donation over the last 12 months. Thanks to a rise in Gift Aid Declarations, we are now collecting 82 % of the maximum Gift Aid we could potentially claim. Our focus is now on increasing our overall number of donors. 14 Fundraising

The vast majority of regular donors are alumni of the University of Bristol Boat Club. Most of our more generous donors joined UBBC between the mid-2000s and the early- mid-201 Os. Most donors outside this range are the only one or two donors from their respective year groups. There is a high concentration of donors who joined UBBC in the late-201 Os and 2020 who remain engaged, but only donate on the 'Student' level donation plans (an average of £1.50 per month). There are only a couple of donors who joined UBBC from 2021 onwards.
