Achievements and Performance
This year. a signffieant part of our efforts focused on assis*"ng individuals and familbes
struggling finanaalty due to ongoing econom￿ thallenges. From providing essential supplies
such as dog food to offering financial support for flea trealmenls. womiers. and other
veterinary care. our aim was to prevent families from having to part ￿th their cherished pets.
This was particularly notable in fAJr help. earty on in the year. lo help owners of XL bullies
complete their exemption registrations during a very diffiuJll time for them. The C￿St and
stress of potentially losing their beloved pet was heartbreaking and we did all we could to
SUPPOrt them both emotiryjally and financk41ty.
In August, we hosted our 4th Annual Fun Day, and il exc£eded all expectations. Wth more
attendees and ￿tivI￿"e8 than ever before. we raised over £3.7(M) to support the animals in
our care. A focal point of the funday was an effyhasis on "big is beautiful" encouraging
registered owners of XL Bullies to CLMne along shthv off this f8ntsstic breed.
Among our most heariwaming cases of the year was Stella. an 18-rrbJnlh-dd Fre
Bulldog surrendered after her owner was unwilling to pay for an emergency caesarean on
Easter Sunday. We covered the c(tst of the operab.on and the vet fees and toc* them all into
our care. Stella nurtured her four beautiful Pupp￿3. and all five dTrJs have since found their
happily ever afters. Another unforgettable moment came wthen Marcel. a mamioset monkey,
wandered into a local home. His story captivated the nalion and was featured in local and
national newspapers as well as many radv) stations. Wth the unwavering care of Clare and
the volunteers, he was lucky enough lo find his forever home at Monkey IAbdd in Dorset.
Our work is onty possible thanks to the unwavering generosty of our sJJpporters and
community. Every donation direcyy fvnds essenbal ￿$OU￿S. including food. veterinary
expenses. blankets. toys, and other critical supplies for the animals. We are deeply grateful
for the compassion and kindness shos*n by everyone who contributes to our mission.
