This is a Trustees Report for May 2023 for Bridport Community Shed.
We currently have 92 members, not all active, and we support Bridport local charities, and the people of our community. We have 3 drop in sessions a week, where we repair, support members projects and make items to order or sell at our markets stall.
We run 4 market stalls a year, supported by our Council and there team.
We have just purchased some new equipment to help us make better products, including a cross cut saw, rip saw and a PAT testing machine, which is calibrated.
This enables our electricians to repair goods in a safe manner.
We take safety seriously and continue to upgrade our machines to reduce noise for our neighbours. We run a weekly course for socially prescribed, and 11 to 18 year old courses, monthly sessions. We are supplying grant funded tutors to both sets of our more vulnerable people. They are professional, local , self employed artists. This has been very successful. We continue to upgrade our facilities to offer support to our community. Thank you.
