**Respective responsibilities of** The Trustees of the organisation is responsible for the preparation of **trustees and** accounts. It is my responsibility to examine the account and statement, **examiner** without performing an audit and to report to the Management Committee. **Basis of** The examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the **independent** Management Committee and a comparison of the accounts presented **examiner’s** with those records. It also includes a review of the accounts and making **statement** such enquiries as are necessary for the purposes of this report. The procedures undertaken do not constitute an audit.
**Independent** Based on my examination, no matter has come to my attention which **examiner's** gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect **statement** accounting records have not been kept properly, or that accounts presented do not accord with those records or comply with accounting requirements.

## **1. Basis of accounts**
The financial have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2015) – Charities SORP (FRS 102), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Companies Act 2006
Wallsend Harriers & Athletics Club meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounting policy note(s).
