The withdrawal of the Local Plan has meant that the update of the Neighbourhood Plan has been placed on hold pending preparation of a new Local Plan. The Neighbourhood Plan remains relevant and is the most up to date part ofthe Development Plan. Nel8hbourW Communlty Infrntnthre Le¥y {Nau f￿dIng process The Forum has continued to provide guidance. asS[stan￿ en8agement with organisations wlshing to submrt NCIL fundin8 applicatlons. It is pleasing to note that the organisations who were successful in biddingforfunds inthe 2024 bidding round had all been in contact with. and held discussions and folbw-on meetings wlth the Forum. As a dirert result of having an adopted Neigh￿Urhood Plan in place, the Forum has enabled the delivery of significantly higher NCIL benefits to the community as we receive 25% funding for local projects {only 15% without an adopted plan). Since its irrtroduction in 2020. this has resutted in 20 projectstotsllingover£300,( being delivered in the KDBH area, of which £123.IM)O directly results from havingthe Neighbourhood Plan in place. With potentially some large housing devetopments in the pipeline, the additional infrastructure benefits to the community to offset the adverse effects of development are expected to be 5izeable.
