Section C Objectives and activities
The aim of the Charity is to restore a forgotten cemetery in Epsom Surrey in which up to 9000 people were buried Summary of the objects of the between 1899 and 1955. The charity also undertakes charity set out in its governing research into and education about the lives of those buried document there - seeking to trace relatives and descendants and promote a Book of Remembrance containing all the names.

The Charity established a website www.hortoncemetery.org The website is populated with over 500 life stories of the persons buried in the cemetery. The Charity has established a team of about 50 volunteer researchers who prepare the stories of these lives. The trustees have full regard to the Charity Commission’s Guidance on public benefit and are confident that all the activities undertaken by the Charity are exclusively for the benefit of the public.
