||The aim of the Charity is to restore a forgotten cemetery in Epsom Surrey in<br>which up to 9000 people were buried between 1899 and 1955. The charity also<br>undertakes research into and education about the lives of those buried there -<br>seeking to trace relatives and descendants and promote a Book of<br>Remembrance containing all the names. The Charity will also continue the<br>research relating in particular to the lives of women buried in the Cemetry<br>informing of the climate for women in the period of Emily Davison’s struggle for<br>womens’ rights upon the Emily Davison Memorial Project charity winding up.|

The Charity has established a website www.hortoncemetery.org The website is populated with over 500 life stories of the persons buried in the cemetery. The Charity has established a team of about 50 volunteer researchers who prepare the stories of these lives. Continuing population of the the website www.hortoncemetery.org with histories of the persons buried in the Cemetery. Maintenance of a team of about 50 volunteer researchers. Publication of over 500 histories of the lives of persons buried in the Cemetery. Securing a grant from Historic England to educate the public about the lives of those buried in the Cemetery with a series of educational events, the painting of 1500 ceramic flowers by the community across Epsom placed on display in the grounds of Horton Cemetery to remember the buried.
