FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2023
The Trustees have pleasure in submiiling the Report arKJ Accounts for the year ended 30 September
2023.
Objects of tho charlty
The C￿lty. which is a church, is govemed by a cx)nstilution and ig constibJted as a trust. The charity,
prinGipal object is the advancement of the chnsts.an fath. To do so we seek lo glorify God through
obeying his word the Bible.

To further the atove objects and Vis￿n. th8 charitys main a¢tiviti# arKI &h*vements were as follows..
Publ￿ V￿r$hIp ser¥￿e8 on SuThlay moming and Sunday evening, with expository F>reaching through the
Bible, generalty from the Okl Testament al one ser￿e and the Testament at the other being
central, for the buikling up of the peop￿ and presenting Ihe GosFel of grxe to the lost.
Sunday school classes are hekj for all ages from thre8 yeaTS old up to mv>teens and are well attended.
The midweek youth work has continued to thrive, for wimary school age on Thursdays, earty secondary
school age on Friday$ and a young adults Bible study also. The minibus is invaluable for collectsng
children from around the local estates to attend these clubs.
A rw initsab've has been a Tabte Tennis evening {Bat and Chat).
Coffee morning contsnues to be an opportunty to wekome locd peoth to an infomal introductK)n to the
church.
Our Evangelist wrth help from a team of regukqr helpers, have conts'nued to ¥￿it door to door in the
locality and hold small group BitAe $tud*5 for contacts and enquirers. As well as the monthly Breakfast
café wh￿h is free and open to all w￿h lo come there have been other evangelists'c events, and the
week of evangelism when a small team from Tupeb Mississippi came again lo join us in visitslion, with a
family event and barbeque at the end whih again was free, and ￿￿11 attended by about 150 people from
the neight<Jurhood. There have been many 0pp0rtunrt￿S lo meet and Speak to people about the Gospel
which we pray will bear frurt in conversw)n to Christ. A n￿￿ssheet has also been produced and
distributed WKlety to Ictal tK)mes. presentsng the Gospel in an attracti￿ fom
Many Classes from local pnmary sthcA)Is allerK￿ the Bible exhitriti￿ earty in the year and the Pastor
and Youth Worker have taken asSembl￿S. Our trainee youth worker completed her course this year
and it was agreed to appoint her to a pahd part tsme position frcmn September 2023. pat*alty funded by a
grant from FIEC. She WFII conb'nue the minL8lries in Ictal Schoo￿ as well as those at church.
Membership has inueased durirKJ the year and a number V￿re bapts'sed at Easter.
Our A8sistsnt Pastor was called to be Pastor of Stapleford Baptst Church from September 2023, and
during the year a suitable applKant was intervith*d and xcepted the appointment of Assistant also from
that date. We are thankful to the Lord for these devebpments. Aso out trainee pastor completed hls
studies at London Seminary and wa$ apF￿.nted as Asststant Pastor at Chihjs Hill 8aptst Church in North
London.

With increasing numbers allendirKJ on a SuThJay ￿￿11r￿j and in$ufFrEnt seating at times we have
conts'nued to seek wsdom in managing this Situatm￿, including seeking the views of members by a
queslionnaire. The possibility of a numtEr from the church holding a moming swNice in another part of
Nottingham was explored but was not financialty viabk, so we conb'nue to pray.
During the year the agreement was signed for Church Growth Trust to become our new Holdir¥J Tfustee.
Double gla￿ng was installed in the extension corridor to help save enefgy.
Members have been apwinted to manage the church V•ebsite. Church Suite and social media to aid
communicats.on among member5 and enquirers and present the ministries of the ChU￿h to the
community.
Above all we thank God for his continued help may He be gkxified in all do.
In planning the aCtivrt￿ the TDJStees have the guidance on publ￿ benefit issued by the Chanty
CommisSK￿.

During the year overall income decreased by £4.958, to £166,733. and expenditure decreased by
£7.478, 10 £151.780. As a resutt the cash held by the chanty increased by £14,953 to £124,261. This
has resulted in General Pufposes Free Reserves of £60k (see note belN). Desrgnated Funds of
£23.859 arKI Restr￿ted Fund8 of £40,402.
Re•8rve8 poIIcy
The Trustees have deterniined that the charity should aim to hold Un￿SIncted cash of no less than
£60,000 (which equates to aboLrt 6 months of Un￿striCted exp8ndtturel so that the charity could conts.nue
to operate should Income and lor expendrture vary ￿verSety. At the year end the charity held
unrestricted cash of £83.859 and Ihe chanty comFtyiNJ wth ts reserves poltcy.
Governan¢•
The p)Iw and OFefating decisK)n$ of the chanty rest with the Trustees. who meet regularly lo monitor
the aclNibes of the Trust. Day to day mantyement of ChU￿h affairs is undertaken by the Elders and
Deacons of the Church. Ail app￿ntr￿ents are confimed by the membership at the Annual General
Meeb'ng of the Church.
R•spon•lbllllle• of trust•
Charity law requires us as Trustees to Prepa￿ financial statements for each accounting year vthich
record Ihe receipts and payments of the chanty for the year.
We are ￿8￿OnSIble for keeping proper accountiThJ records whth disck)se wth ￿aSona￿e accuracy at
any b'me Ihe financHI [X)sit￿n of the charrty and enab￿ us to ensure that the financial statements ¢ompty
vthh the Charrties Act 2011.
We also have a responsibilty to safeguard the assets of the chanty and to tske reasOna￿e steps to
prevent fraud or any other irre9ulant*s.
