Organisation (CIO) which was regist¢red with the Charity Commission on the 20 July 2020 (Registered
Charity Number 1190479)
Covernance
The Charity is governed by it's constilution approved on if July 2020.
The Re¢wr of Aston Clinton ben¢fice with Buckland and Drayton Beauchamp is an ex officio Trust¢¢. The
remaining trustees are appoIn￿l at th¢ Annual GeneTal Meeting (AGM)
The Charity is nm by a Managetn¢nt Committee. which ¢onsist of the Trustces, on¢ repTesentative of Aston
Clinton Parish Coun¢il member and elecied committee members. A quorum of five committe¢ members is
r¢quiTed for decision making purposes. Trnstees and Committee members are approved at th¢ AGM. Members
Can b¢ co-OPt¢d by the Management Committee b¢twe¢n AGMS.
Objective$
I'he charity owns and m￿ageS The Anthony H&ll, a village hall within the village of Aston Clinton,
Buckinghamshire. The Anthony Hall is for the communal b¢nefit of the residcnt$ of Aston Clinton and the
surrounding areas. It is heavily used. wilh bookings for fund raisin￿ social ¢vent$, reputsbl¢ Comme￿ial
events, me¢iin8s and is the venue of the local Pre-school. It is also used for public rnee¢ings on local issues, as o
polling station and is designated as an em¢r8eD¢y shelter in event of dI￿Ster.
The Anthony Hall Hnd the land on which it is built was gifted into tn15t by cenain members (Trf the Roth8ehild
family in 1929 to be used for the benefit of the Pariyh of Aston Clinton, the inhabithnts thereof and for genernl
public purposes. It has continued lo be $0 used since thal time.

The truste¢s consider that the or8anisation fully complies with the Charity Comrnission's r¢quirem¢nt to
demonstrai¢ the provision of benefit to the public.
Aetlvtlt
The main activity of the iharity 15 the provision of community hall facilities for the use of the village. The
Charity's poli¢y 1$ to charge fixed hourly rates for th¢ hir¢ of the h811, offering a discount for village based
organisationy as well as providing the hall free of char¥e for use by the Parish Counoil for community
information events, for example in respect of the Neighbourhood Plan.
The Hall is us¢d by a numb¢r of local charities such as the Aston Clinton Pre-SchiTrol, the lo¢al Parish and
Bapt15t Churches and well as the local Woman's Insiitute, U3A and Horticulturdl Society.
Th¢ rental incorne for hiriDg th¢ hall is used to maintain and renovate the 19th C¢ntury Grnde 11 listed building.
Th¢ Mana8ement Committee sets the hourly charging rates in order to ensure th&t it Temains an affordable and
desirabl¢ venue for use by the lo￿1 community.

During th¢ year th¢ chariry made a loss of £667. During the year a hall maintcnance programm¢ was
undertaken incurring ¢osts of £8,329. Excluding the one-off items within these costs would show the hajl
makins a profit similar to the previous two years. Rev¢nu¢ from hall hirin89 continues to be strong with regular
hall usag¢ from mulupl¢ groups.
No third paty guarantees hav¢ been provided forthe liabilities of the charity

audit is not requir¢d for thi5 under sxtion 144 of the Clwitics Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and ihat an

examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities ALI,
to follow the procedure5 laid dowft in the general Directions given by the Charity Cornmission {under
section 545(5Kb) of the Charities Act, and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

and insured for £1.5m
The portrait of the daughters of Sir Anthony d¢ Rothschild, by James Godsell Middl¢ton,
dated around1860 was gifted to the hall by the Roth￿h1[d family of Aston Clinton. In 2013
this was108ned to the Rothschild archive trusl on a twenty five year lease and is on display
