Organisation (CIO) which was re¥ist¢red with the Charity Commission on the 20 July 2020 {Registered

The Rettor of Aston Clinton benefice with Buckland and Drayton Beauchamp is an ex offi¢io Trustee. The

The Chariiy is run by a Management Committee. whi¢h ¢on$i$t of the Tnjstees, one r¢pr¢s¢Ntalive of Aston
Clinton Parish Council member and elccted committee members. A 4UOTum of five committ¢e members is
r¢quired for decision making purpos¢s. Tn￿tee3 and Committe¢ m¢mb¢rs ar¢ approved at th¢ AGM. Members
¢aTh be co-opted by th¢ MatMg¢m¢nt Committee between AGMS.
Objertlves
The ¢harity owns and manages Th¢ Anthony Hall, a village hall within th¢ village of Aston Clinton,
Buckinghamshire. The Anthony Hall is for the communal benefit of the residents of Aston Clinton and the
surrounding areas. It is heavily used. with bookings fgr fund raisin& social events. reputabl¢ Commercial
¢v¢nt5, meeiin8S dnd 15 the venue of th¢ local Pre-school. It is a150 used for public meetings on local issues. a5 a
polling Station and is designated &$ an em¢r¥¢n¢y shelt¢r in event of disoster.
The Anthony Ilall and the land on which it is built was gifted into trust by certain members of the Roth5¢hild
family in 1929 to be used for the benefit of th¢ Parish ot Aston Clinton, th¢ inhabitants thereof and for g¢ner&l
publi¢ purposes. It has continued to be 50 Used since that time.

demonstrate the provi$ion of benefit to the public.
A¢tlvtltes
The main activity of th¢ charity is the provision of community hall facilities for the use of the village. Th¢
Charity's policy 1$ to Charge fixed hourly rates for the hire of the hall, offering a discount for village bas¢d
organisalions as well as providing the hall free of charge for use by the Parish Council for community
infomiation events, for example in respe¢t of the Neighbourhood Plan.
The Hall is used by a number of local eharities such 8S th¢ Aston Clinton Pre-school, the lo¢al Parish and
Baptist Churches and well as the local Wornan'5 In5titut¢, U3A and Horticultural SoGiety-
Th¢ rental income for hlriE]g the hall is used to mainiain and renova* the 19th Century Grnde 11 listed building.
The Mana%ement Committee sets the hourly chargin8 rates in order to ensure that it remains an affordable and
desirable venue for UB¢ by th¢ lo¢al ¢ommuntty.
Fin*ncial Review
On the 26 October 2020, the Trustees of the Anthony Hall Charity (Registered Charity Number 227278)
signed 8 Vesting De¢d transf¢￿ing its assets to the charity). These as5e15 cornprtsed of £59.845 of cath held
with banks, all fixtures and fittings of the Anthony Hall, the portrait of the daughters of Sir Anthony de
Rothschild, by Jam¢s Godsell Middleton, (circa 1860) and the Anthony Hall its¢lf.
On 28, O¢¢ober 2020, the Registered Title of the freehold Property and 18nd Comprising the Anthony Hall w&8
tr&nsferr¢d to th¢ charity frorn the trustees of the Anthony Hall (Regi*¢r¢d Charity Number 220278}.
Subs¢qu¢nily ihe Anthony Hall ((R¢gisier¢d Charity Numbcr 220278) w7s clos¢d with th¢ Charity Commission.
The charity commenced transactions on 26th Octber 2020 following the transf¢r of ongoing responsibility for
manag¢menl of the Anthony Hall and associated assets and liabilities as described above.

During th¢ ycar the ¢iwity made a profit oF£6,153 The intemiptions caused by the Covid-19 r¢lat¢d lockdowns
and restrictions have reduced with the result that the hiring rev¢nu¢ for the year and costs of operating and
maintaining the hall returned to a more nortnal b&sis.
No third paty guaratllees have been provid￿ for the liabilitie5 of the charity

It is the policy of the charity that sutTicient reservcs are held to continue to En¢et tb¢ objectives of the Charity.
The ¢hority aim5 to hold reseThe5 equivalent to two yeats of running costs, approximately £50,000, plu5 an
additional sum that the Tnbstees consider adequate to cover unfor¢seen building work. The level of reserves
held as at 31" December 2021 are £61.965

I report on the first set of accounts of The Anthony Hall (Aston Clinton) for the year ended 31 December 2021,

The charity's trustee5 are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trystees consider that an
audit is not r¢quired for this year under section 144 of the Charities A¢1 2011 {Lhe Charities AGt) and that
independent examtnation is n¢¢ded.

and seekin8 explanations from the truitees concerning any such matt¢r5. Th¢ procedures undertaken do not
provide kll the evidence that would be required in an wdil. and consequently no opinion is given as to whether
the accounts present a 'true and fair, view and the report is limited lo those matters set out in the statement
below.
