The Charies Gordon Trust charity aims to promote social inclusion and to provide support to
those who are socially andlor economically disadvantaged. The charity aims to assist
individuals in the community in relation to mentorship, homelessness and loneliness. provide
support for the youth and young entrepreneurs in relation to setting up businesses and receiving
business grants, as well as to support families and children in the cost of living crisis.
The Chades Gordon Trust has remained committed to supporting vulnerable groups within th8
community and grassroots organis8tions Ihroughotrt the financial year 2024-2025, with a
particular focus on young people and community development. Our effi)rts have been centred
on providing assistance to those in need, fostering inclusivity, and promoting opportunities for
personal and professional development.
Christmas Dinner at Croydon Voluntary Action
One of our key initiatives during the year was our continued invofvemenl in the Young People's
Christmas Dinner, held at Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) in December 2024. Building on the
success of previous years. th8 Chartes Gordon Trust sponsored this festive event with gifts,
food. and f8stive decorations. This initiative provided vulnerable children with a memorable
Christmas experience, ensuring tha( these young people felt included and valued during the
holiday season. The event created positive memories and a strong sense of belonging.

London Community Excellence Awards 2025
The Chades Gordon Trust was instrumental in the planning and organisation of the London
Community Excellence Awards, which look place in October 2025. This presligious event was
designed to recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions made by individu818,
organisations, and community18aders across London. The awards highlighted the invaluable
work of those dedica18d to supporting vulnerable populations and strengthening communities,
whilst keeping young people engaged and connected to positive opportunities. Th8 success of
this event reinforced our commitment to celebrating grassroots heroes and fostering a culture of
community excellence.
Educational Workshops and Youth Engagement
Throughout the financial year, the Chartès Gordon Trust organised and facilitated various
educational workshops with young people in the community. We engaged with various young
people, sharing insights and experiences about innovation, entrepreneurship, and personal
development. Through Ihese workshops, we encouraged participants to take pride in their
passions and talents. demonstrating how dedication and innovation can be transformed into
meaningful career pathways and Suslainable livelihoods. These sessions fostered a culture of

ambition and self-belief amongst p3rticipants, empowering them to envision brighter futures for
themselves.
We also provided sponsorship. by way of a donation. to the Cut It OLrt event, a
comrnunity football day in Croydon that brings together local organisations and
initiatives working to tackle knife crime and anti-social behaviour in the borough.
