Trustees Annual Report The Charles Gordon Trust Charity (1190439) Suite 128, Regents House Business Centre. 291 Kirkdale, Sydenham, SE26 4BD Trustee Report for the Financial Year 2023-2024 The Charles Gordon Trust charity aims to promote social inclusion and to provide support to those who are socially andlor economically disadvantaged. The charity aims to assist individuals in the community in relation to mentorship. homelessness and loneliness, provide support for the youth and youn8 entrepreneurs in relation to setting up businesse5 and receiving business grants, as well as to support families and children in the cost of livlng crisis. The Charles Gordon Trust has remained committed to supporting vulnerable groups within the community and grassroots organisations throughout the financial year 2023-2024, with a particular focus on young people. Our efforts have been centered on providing assistance to those in need, fostering inclusivity, and promoting opportunities for personal and professional development. One of our key initiatives during the year was our involvement in the Youn8 People's Christmas Dinner, held at Croydon Voluntary Action in December 2023. This event provided vulnerable children with a memorable Christmas experience, including a warm festive meal and Christmas gifts. The initiative aimed to ensure that these young people felt included and valued during the holiday season, creatin8 Positive memories and a sense of belonging. In March 2024, the Charles Gordon Trust extended its support to vulnerable women through a donation to ANOS, an organisation dedicated to addressing violence bgainst women and girls IVAWGI. Thi5 contribution was made to support their ongoing efforts in empowering and protectin8 women affected by violence. further strengthening our commitment to social justice and community welfare. Looking ahead, the Trust 15 in the process of launching an educational course In collaboration with Morley College. This initiative will provide young people in the community with the opportunity to attend university and study business-related courses. The goal is to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue entrepreneurship. fostering economic independence and innovation among the next generation. Additionally, we are in the planning stages of organising the Golden Lion Awards 2025, an event designed to recognize and celebrate community heroes and organisations across London and the UK. This prestigious event will highlight the invaluable contributions of individuals and groups who are dedicated to supporting the community and keeping young people off the streets. The Charles Gordon Trust remains steadfast in its mission to create positive change within the community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners, supporters, and
