Mob: 07889137444 Registered Charity No. 51S055 REPORT FOR CHARITIES COMMISSION JUNE 2022- 2024 Oswest Lions Club cio referred to herein as 'The Club" The Clubs, fundraising has been severely limited due to shortage of fundraisers. The Club is reduced to five able Lions supported by Lion Helpers. During the period of this report The Club has donated to several charitable institutions, local hospitals, adult Hospice and children's end of life hospice. Oswestry Lions continue to finance the Duke of Edinburgh gold award for students at the Derwen specialist college for young people 16 to 25. The Club has teamed with a local popular theatre, the Attfield, to provide a learning school for young people in all aspects of running a show in the theatre. It covers writing, acting, producing, set building and elettrics. This is run on a profession basis with the Attfield providing all the coaching throughout the year. LAMDA provide annual examinations and certification for each student and Oswestry Lions donate the cost of the examinations. OSWESTRY LIONS CLUB STRUCTURE. The Club has 7 Members. The Clubs Trustees, (4) provide governance. general management. The Club continues to provide bursaries and projects to local School Academies and the Arts. The Club continues to provide charitable services to individuals with a deserving cause in their time of need, to other charities and institutions in the medical, education and caring sectors, also to youth clubs, sports and the Arts. Such charitable services and donations are predominantly to local people and institutions within Oswestry and District. The Club administration costs are financed solely by its members, all monies raised or donated from the public are dispersed to charitable, good causes.
