Our Sunday mornlng services are well attended. The day starts wlth a Breakfast Prayer Meetin8
when tea and toast Is served before the Service. We celebrate Communlon on the flrst Sunday of
each month when this is taken by Members of the fellowshlp. Throughout the year we have had a
regular vbsiting preacher on the second Sunday of each month but very sadly he suddenly pa55ed
away In December. His presence will be 8reatly mlsse(i. Btrth he and his wife have been very
invofved in the life of the church. We also have a vlslting lay-preacher on the last Sunday of each
month. For the remalning servlces we are served by our own member5 who all have dlfferent roles
to play In the life of our church.
Each Tuesday mornlng we have a group who meet togetherto study the bSble, to pray, and to support
each other. This is a Carin8 and Sharlng Broup. On Wednesday evenin85 we meet, agaln to study
the bible and partlcularly the address Blven the prevlous Sunday. We have an evenin8 of Prayer on
the first Wednesday of each month but this will be changln8 to the last Wednesday. Several people,
including frlends from the vlllage, meet on a Thursday evènlng for muslc practlce when we plan the
servlce for the followlng Sunday and practice some new songs. Thi5 is a lovely evening of worship,
fellow5hlp and Singing. Wè also have a Christlan Counsellor who15 a member of the fellowshlp and
supports clients regularly.
Our social attivltles have included a men's breakfast wSth invltatlons to the two other churches In
the vlllage. a games night, pancake5 on Shrove Tuesday* a Good FrSday walk, and an annual BBQ. We
participate with the Anglican and Catholic churches in celebratSng the church festiva15 when our own
fellowship have lead these services. We also had a prayer walk through the village which was an
encoura8ement to all of us. On two evenings before Christma5 several members attended a local
restsurant to sing carols and Christmas musl¢.
We were approached by the Northwest Baptist Assoclatlon to 5UPPOrt our daughter church,
Ebenezer. In Billington, Whalley, which was in dan8er of c105ing. We have, therefore, commenced
service5 at the church on the first Tuesday of each month, liaising partlcularly with a Youth Group
which operates from the church building. This is very well supported by our own church members
and it is a great pleasure to see young people coming to th15 short service after school. It Is hoped
that thls Outreach will become very successful over the coming months and years.
