TAKE A KNIFE SAVE A LIFE (TAKSAL)
Trustee Report
On the 10[th] July 2020 we had our Charity registration number confirmed for, Take a Knife Save a Life. (1190357)
Leading up to this period we were all facing unprecedented times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The pandemic affected our charitable work at Take a Knife Save a Life and for a period we were unable to continue with usual community assistance due to ongoing pandemic restrictions. However, our team at Take a Knife Save a Life adapted by helping many in the community with shopping, aid and support due to self-isolation or pandemic lockdown restrictions.
During this term our Charity's income was spent explicitly with expenses needed to run services. These expenses included Public Liability and Employer’s Liability insurance for the Charity, also insurance and tax for the Charity vehicle.
The management committee members and all volunteers personally fund the day to day running of the Charity including all activities, events & equipment used including PPE essentials.
We also personally fund all fuel costs which enable us to offer our services to the community.
We are thankful for a high level of assistance in the form of public and private donations including fundraising, which have enabled our Charity and our work to continue in the Community for all residents and most importantly our youth.
