It was registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation ICIOI with The Charity Commission in England on 9 July 2020. This is the fourth Reportand Accounts ofthe Trust. The registered address of the Trust is Stsble Cottage, Trull Road, Taunton. Somerset TAI 4QT The Trustees during the period of this Report were= Graham Johnson FCA Wing Cdr Anthony Kent (Ret'dl Mrs Eleanor Moore Alan Reeve BA CA Alan Sawyer Ichairl Mrs Jo Wooldridge All Trustees have been in post throughout the year. They have met at regular intervals throughout 2023124 and have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public beneftt published byThe Charity Commission in exercising their duties. The object of the Trust is to purchase. hold and maintain the S.84 acre field known as Trull Meadow, Taunton, Somerset for the use and benefit of the lo(al community. this objett being achieved via an appeal to the community to raise the necessary funding for the purchase and ongoing maintenance. Iri the Trust's first year of operation the purchase was completed on 9 January 2021 in the sum of £150,LNJO plus legal costs. Fund raising had commenced in March 2020 but was severely hampered by the Covid 19 pandemic in the UK which inevitably reduced fundraising activity. The Trustees also appealed for interest-free loans from well-wishers to underwrite the purchase,. one such loan remained outstanding at 5 April 2024 in the sum of £IO,(X)O and will be repaid during 2024n5. Since acquisition a sub group, The Friends of Trull Meadow, ha5 been fomied and has begun to carry out maintenance work and improvements in the Meadow. On completion of purchase the Trustees were pleased to receive a Erant of £15,526 from Trull Parish Council. which sum is being applied to immediate improvements to the Meadow's facilities. The Trust has no specific reseNes at present. Any future reserves will be modest and related to the Maintenan requirements ofthe Meadow.
