16 March 2023 ## Trustees’ Annual Report Global Cupcakes of HOPE UK received a wish list from the Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. They needed sensory toys as this is what they lacked the most for their patients. They were extremely grateful when they received our donation of sensory toys. They explained that these toys make a massive difference in the children’s lives as they are able to experience different senses. This hospice makes the experiences refreshingly personal for the Child and their family. There are pathways around the building, family rooms, sensory rooms, adjusted playgrounds and so much more to make the experience the best it can be every single time. Some of the employees said they recognised the difference in behaviour and overall treatment/recovery to improve. The Hospice offered us an in person tour of the hospice, which was an absolutely incredible experience! The head of fundraising at the Hospice gave us the tour and explained how each element affects the child's overall experience and treatment. She also personally thanked us for the donation of sensory toys and explained how they helped and made a difference to the individuals journey. She shared personal stories of the patients experiences and the next future steps for the Hospice. Global Cupcakes of Hope Uk was also invited to take part in the 'No Child Left behind Campaign' held by Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. We raised £500 for the Charity and our goal was to take 500,000 steps during the 36 hours of the challenge. This was an excellent challenge to get involved in and raise some money for this fabulous Hospice. This money will be used to fund treatments, expand the Hospice or purchase necessary goods that the Hospice may need. Global Cupcakes of Hope Uk was invited to join Children with Cancer Uk at the London Marathon. This was a great way to support the runners, support Children with Cancer UK and raise awareness. We all wore our shirts with pride! Afterwards we attended a silent disco walking tour. This was a fun experience for the team to go through the streets of London. We posted the journey on social media platforms which again helped raise awareness towards our 1 charity so people can support us by supporting hospitals, hospices and people who need us. As well as being invited to many different activations throughout the year we also got involved in our own random Acts of Kindness. We shared cupcakes and goodies at the cancer centre of Guy's and St Thomas Hospital, because the covid restrictions were lifted we were able to do this and put a smile on the faces of the staff and patients within the Hospital and shared kindness and love. Finally, our amazing volunteer Samantha spoiled her local GP surgery in the UK with hand crafted succulents in the shape of Cupcakes to spread awareness while putting a smile on the staff's faces. They loved the surprise and they always try to support Global Cupcakes of Hope UK as much as they can! We absolutely loved spreading kindness, love, goodies and awareness all year round and through these experiences we can see how much of an impact we are making to individuals' lives day by day!
