The Foundation is under the overall control of the Trustees, who conduct the affairs of the foundation. The Trustees try to meet twice a year to set the policies and overall direction of the charity, to review its plans and to discuss the management of the foundation.

If the foundation is wound up, the members of the foundation have no liability to contribute to its assets and no personal responsibility for settling its debts and liabilities.

Each trustee is also automatically a foundation member.

All Trustees give their time freely and no trustee received remuneration during the period.

Summary of the main The Trustees take a prudent view regarding the investment of surplus achievements of the charity funds. The Trustees continue to believe that the most appropriate policy during the year for investing funds is with Ruffer LLP. Ruffer seek to be responsible investors, fully integrating environmental, social and corporate governance issues into their investment process. The fund has strict restrictions on investment in alcohol, armaments, gambling, pornography, predatory lending, tobacco, oil sands and thermal coal. An additional £100,000 was invested on 28 October 2021. The fund made a capital gain of £10,366 and received dividends of £655 during the year. All gains and dividends were reinvested in the fund. At the year end the fund’s market value was £158,843.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity for the year ended 31 July 2022.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of the Charity, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
