Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees.

||As the first period of operations happened to be during the Covid-19<br>pandemic,<br>the<br>activities<br>were<br>mainly<br>concentrating<br>around<br>the<br>administrative tasks such like setting up the foundation, opening bank<br>accounts, agreeing on investment strategy, and considering which<br>causes it would be appropriate to support and how to go about choosing<br>them.<br>All tasks were carefully considered to prepare the Foundation to make<br>meaningful donations to chosen charities as soon as possible.<br>The Trustees take a prudent view regarding the investment of surplus<br>funds. The Trustees have considered the most appropriate policy for<br>investing funds and Ruffer LLP were chosen to be the Foundation’s<br>investment management company. The first £50,000 was invested on 4<br>August 2020. Ruffer seek to be responsible investors, fully integrating<br>environmental,<br>social<br>and<br>corporate<br>governance<br>issues<br>into<br>their<br>investment process.|

||Patricia Mary Killen (known as Tricia) died on 14 September 2014<br>intestate. The Foundation was established in her name and received the<br>initial gift of £200,000 on 31 July 2020, based on Deed of Variation.<br>Trustees have decided that the foundation’s unrestricted reserves should<br>be kept no lower than £5,000.<br>The Trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties related to<br>events or conditions that cast significant doubt upon the Charity's ability<br>to<br>continue<br>as<br>a<br>going<br>concern.<br>The<br>Trustees<br>have<br>made<br>this<br>assessment for a period of at least one year from the date of approval of<br>the accounts. In particular the trustees considered the Charity's budget<br>projection. The Trustees made enquires and have concluded that there is<br>a reasonable expectation that the Charity has adequate resources to|

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity for the period ended 31 July 2021. 

**Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Charity, you are responsible for the **basis of report** preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
