Independent Setter Rescue & Rehome

Trustee Report 01.08.2021 -31.07.2022

Dated: 03.04.2023

During the period above 33 dogs were taken into Independent Setter Rescue & Rehome’s care.

One dog was pts following assessment and found to be of poor temperament having bitten.

The remaining 32 were successfully rehomed.

One dog was imported from Bosnia in need of expert Veterinary attention to extract a bullet and insert a plate to secure a broken bone. He was successfully rehomed following surgery.

One dog needed eye surgery on entrance, three others needed ongoing medication on admission.

In February we were made aware of an Irish Setter in Serbia who had been found abandoned with no use of his hind legs. He was taken into a local Rescue and cared for. When he was fit enough Independent Setter Rescue & Rehome purchased a Dog Carriage which offered a way forward for activity and freedom for this dog.

Fundraising through online mini auctions was pleasing, we are grateful to have so many supporters.

Other fundraising for specific events such as an operation were also enthusiastically supported.

Our Members club gained new supporters as did our 100Club monthly draw (supported by licence)

Thank you to the team of Trustees who have worked hard to ensure our continuing place in the world of rescue.
