to advance and promote for the public benefit the performing arts
generally and in particular but not exclusively, music, dance, speech
and drama.
**Objectives generally:**
• to organise live performing arts events that introduce the public to
new and emerging performing artists and artists who defy easy
categorisation;
• to commission new writing and making of performing arts works;
• to arrange educational workshops, lectures and debates;
• to commission research into performing arts related fields;
to work with groups and individuals who support the aims of the
charity;|

||**Overview**
As all trustees are in regular employment, we currently have limited
time and opportunity to progress the charity. However, we continue to
work towards the realisation of our charitable objects.
**Meetings**
The trustees have met regularly during the year to plan the development
of the charity.
**Trustees and Patrons**
We have continued to search for and recruit patrons who can help us
develop and promote the charity.
**Memberships**
SKAPA has registered membership with both Metro GAVS and
Community Southwark. Trustees have attended Community Southwark
training sessions.
**Guidance**
All trustees have been issued with a copy of Charity Commission
Guidance document PB1,Public benefit,thepublic benefit requirement.|
