Sports Ground Report February 2023.
2022 started well with the ARC regularly used at Weekends where we were able to bank considerable proceeds from the Café/Bar particularly on Saturdays.
We also let the facility for a Children’s Party in June, a Team meeting for Phoenix Psychology & to Letting Property for a Rounders match & team meeting.
Following negotiations with Solihull Academy to take over maintenance of the Grassed Areas, there has been almost no Saturday Football by SAFC, the last booking was Sat 12[th] November 2022.
The SAFC Committee have had no communication whatsoever during the current Football Season consequently we need to review their use of the facility for 23/24.
Henley Forest Juniors continue to use the ground on Sundays. The Scouts facility is to be officially opened 23[rd] April, the Bonfire area has still not been cleared as requested.
A Gate & Fencing to the Scout Parking Area has been installed and secured by padlock.
The Table Tennis Club continues to book mainly on Monday Evenings.
We suffered a Burst Water Main in January requiring repair & a box fitted with insulation to prevent a similar problem occurring again. Security Lighting on the approach path to the Tennis Club has been installed.
