## Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

Performances gave benefit both to players and event supporters, fulfilling personal enjoyment and recreation needs, besides large numbers comprising the audiences who obtained cultural enjoyment and enhanced well-being.

In particular the Band was invited to play at a local Remembrance service, where the audience numbers were counted in their several hundreds.

In June 2023 we were able to participate fully in the Whit Friday celebrations which are fundamental to our local heritage. It was an additional stage for the band and its new identity, besides an opening for new and developing players to experience belonging and community engagement.

All this contributed to the attraction and development of new and improving learners. By the end of the year a group was in place and making admirable playing progress besides enjoying the atmosphere of the group.

Attempting to preserve and expand the engagement of this group and further recruits will be one of the Band's future challenges.
