About Aikyam UK:

Aikyam UK is growing charity working with youth and young adults aged 8 to 24. Aikyam UK’s primary objective to date has been to create awareness of our existence targeting youth and young adults. Aikyam UK has also built solid working partnerships with many local organisations, community groups and with local community.

Aikyam UK aims to work with youth and young adults in two ways.

1, Aikyam UK provides support internally or externally via signposting to any youth and young adults who seek support with any issue. Issues include but not exclusive to, Gang Culture, Mental Health, Wellness, Bullying, Racism, Addictions and anything a youth or young adult may require support with.

2, Aikyam UK supports Youth Lead Social/Community Action Projects. To date, we are actively working on 3 youth lead projects which are, Ending Period Poverty, Gang Culture and Knife Crime and also Domestic Abuse. These projects are brought to Aikyam UK by local youth who require support to ensure they can reach their goals/targets.

Aikyam UK also provides support to other local charities and volunteer community groups which to date have included CVSS (Corona Virus Shakti Seva) and Mobile Apps Learning for the Elderly.

As well as our existing working relationships, we have working partners which include South Asian Health Action and Avanti Schools.

Through our local network and partnerships, we are launching a new long-term project called Project EANC (Embedding a New Culture) Leicestershire.

This project will aim to change negative trends in our society and local culture by working with youth focusing on early intervention and prevention over cure.

Further details can be provided on request. Aikyam UK is currently creating the proposal for which we already have over 50 local commited partners including businesses, individuals and organisations including NCS, NHS, Leicester Police, Leicester City Council, South Asian Health Action, Avanti Schools and many more.
