Summary of tho rnain achlovomènts and perfornwnce during tho poriod
The Club o)ntinu8S to make good recovery from the Covld parKlemic and has seen
membership and volunteer numbers steadlly Increase. Th8 Introduction of the
management tèam has succassfully supported both the founder and trustees and
means the Club is able to keep on top of demand and glve members and volunteers
a g(x)d experience. We recognise that our success is directly related to the
volunteers, exp8rf8nce and do not také Ihe impact our volunteers have on our
guests, experience lightly. We are incredibly grateful for th8 tirne all our volunteers
give up to improve the lives of othèrs. Th8 faedback we oftan hèar from our
voluntears is that thgy gèt Just as much from Ihe exparience as our guests and
members.
Th8 Club ¢ontinu8S to host monthly lunche8 and Is now lookirvJ at startlng extra fund
raising activities to support its members. The Club has purthased challenge event
places for the Brighton Marathon and has successfully allocated these places. The
aim is that the fundraisers raise enough mon8y to purchase a v8hide, so lunches
can be hosted at dÉfferent locations at varying sizes.
The Club hosted another successful Christmas lunch with the Support of the local
newspaper and communty. Everything needed to host lunch was donated so th8
Club was ablg to host Christmas lunch free of charge br the members.
Transport has be8n successfully navigatsd, with 8 thorough revl8w of who 15
¢urrenUy accessing it. As a result, it now means that thosè m05t in need are able to
use transport. Where this used to be free, the Club will be introducing a £2 charge for
those using transport. Following a revi8w of food costs th8 f88 for lunch will also b8
increasing from £10 to £13. We will continue to offer support to anyone wh8r8 this
might be a barrier to entry.
Flnanclal revlow
Our membership numbers have grown, which can be seen by the incroaso in lunch
receipts. The cost to put a lunch on has also Increased thereby keeping any residual
income slightly subdued.
The Club has b88n v8ry lucky in receiviTr3 repeat donatlons around Christmas from
80me local businesses and residents. One of our volunteerfs employers salected The
Welbeloved Club as thelr charity of th8 year donating £5,000 to us in recognition of
the work the Club Is doing trj relieve social isolation and loneliness within the local,
old8r community. A full list of donors can b8 found on page 6.
A local law finn was retalned to rewrite all relevant policies. This reinforcas our desire
to promote best practi** in everyihing we do.

Our financial situation remains strong and we are exploring potential opportunities to
