**Objects:** THE RELIEF OF NEED OF CARERS AND YOUNG PEOPLE BASED ON THE “KINSHIP PRINCIPLE” WHEREBY THE ORIGINAL GUARDIAN OR PARENT IS NO LONGER ABLE TO CARE FOR THE CHILD OR YOUNG PERSON THROUGH:A) PROVIDING RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES FOR BOTH THE YOUNG PERSON AND THE CARER;B) A SUPPORT NETWORK BASED ON RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND MUTUAL SUPPORT;C) WORKSHOPS/MEETINGS AND ADVICE BY PROFESSIONALS.

**Activities:** Wallsend Kinship Carers was initially set up in 2015. The main aim was to provide 1-2-1 support by fortnightly meetings for those caring for their grandchildren/other relative's children. Many of these kinship children had been traumatised in early life. During holidays they meet weekly and provide activities/entertainment for their kids, WKC have no surplus funds so we are constantly fundraising.
