Treasurers notes
In July 2020, once we have been granted charity status, we applied to The co-operative bank for a Community account and in August 2020 the account was opened.
In September we enrolled into the AmazonSmile scheme. And created a Paypal account to allow membership payments and other transactions to be as easy as possible.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we were unable to perform in February 2021 for our main production, and it was felt that in these difficult times, it was not reasonable to charge subscriptions. Our only costs at that point were the zoom subscriptions, any out of pocket expenses were covered by the individual trustee. And we were still able to offer our 46 members (including Full, Junior and Friend) regular zoom social events including an online escape room and a Mime workshop for those who wished to take part.
In the Spring of 2021 we were able to put on a 2 night outdoor Variety show with profits being donated to a local Cancer Support charity. We were able to do this by charging ½ year member subscriptions and by using the funds from an initial donation from a previous unregistered group.

Launton Villages Players
We are still waiting for the final bills to come in in relation to our summer show – this is anticipated to be in the region of £50.
In November 2021 Members subscriptions for the full year will be due, a substantial amount of them have already been collected in this financial year.
Despite the difficulties of the past 16 months we still achieved our charities 2 main objectives :-

To advance, improve, maintain and develop public education and appreciation of musical and dramatic art and artistic events and
-
To support charitable purposes.
In the forthcoming financial year we hope and plan to put on our full programme of performances including, in 2022 a Pantomime in February and a Summer show.
As we have had so few transactions I would recommend that we do not appoint an independent examiner this year with this being reviewed annually according to the current legislation.
