Para 1.17 and 1.19 |
The charity’s activity gradually began to recover following ‘pandemic restriction’s; we began to attend events where we could meet the public, though not to the extent enjoyed pre-pandemic. The charity’s ‘on-line’ work: responding to existing government consultations; reports; and government (Welsh and Westminster) consultations and measures: we continued to circulate our ‘Bluespace Manifesto in both Wales and England. In July we launched our ‘Bluespace Reservoir Charter’ and circulated this to water utility |
| companies and other interested parties. We continued making links with other groups/charities; - updating and adding to trustees’ knowledge in relevant areas, and maintaining and increasing the on- line supporter base. |

| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | Aided by our manifesto and charter, we have continued to progress our forward plan; working online and ‘face-to-face’ to reach out to people facing access and environment-related challenges, to those in a position to provide or withhold access, and to elected representatives. We were able to take part in some public meetings and events during the period. We were also able to build on relationships established during the previous period. |

| Achievements against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | With political focus elsewhere, it was not easy to engage the attention of politicians or the likes of utility companies. The demonstrated public interest in access has, however, compensated for lack of ‘official’ enthusiasm. We have had positive feedback from politicians, particularly at local level, for our manifesto. |
| Performance of fundraising activities against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | Fundraising has been disappointing, in spite of putting an additional platform in place. This seems to be reflected across the sector in general. Working largely online, through our manifesto and charter, and attending ‘free to exhibitor’ events has enabled us to maintain a good level of engagement with thepublic. |
| Investment performance against objectives |
Para 1.41 | The charity does not carry out any investment or social investment activity. |
