The Charity is a sports club that enjoys the benefits of rowing Cornish Pilot Gig Boats both socially and competitively, this is for the benefit of people living in the area of Truro and the surrounding area. The Rowing Club is based at Loe Beach, Feock. 

## **Charitable objects** 

THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF PEOPLE RESIDING IN FEOCK, TRURO AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS IN THE COUNTY OF CORNWALL BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PARTICIPATION IN PILOT GIG ROWING. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE, ‘FACILITIES’ MEANS BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT AND THE ORGANISING OF SPORTING ACTIVITY.

TRRC’s Committee comprises of Club Captain, Rowing Captain, Secretary, Treasurer, Ladies Captain, Mens Captain and Welfare Officer.  These positions are voted for by the club membership at the Annual General Meeting.  In line with our governing documents 1/3 of the trustees are “retired” each year on a rolling basis with those having been trustees the longest retiring and new trustees then taking on this role. 



TRRC is primarily a racing Cornish gig club but offers rowing for all ages and abilities from juniors to masters and gives opportunities for people wishing to row socially and for newcomers to learn the sport.

2020-21 TRRC was affected by the coronavirus lockdowns in line with CPGA and government regulations.  There were no regattas held and training only took place (when allowed) in small groups with the aim to protect club membership and the wider local community from infection.
