|Contribution made by<br>volunteers|Para 1.38|Our organisation is volunteer-led, however with a<br>freelance coordinator now supporting us, we<br>have been able to utilise the enthusiasm and<br>contributions of volunteers more effectively.  We<br>have also been able to offer volunteers a better<br>experience.  Volunteers contributed close to 190<br>hours towards activities and events over the year<br>- and many more behind the scenes supporting<br>administration, fundraising, and planning.|

During<br>the year we delivered over 30 events / activities<br>to support local green spaces and help connect<br>people with nature in their local area.  We have<br>established a monthly e-newsletter and have<br>grown our Facebook followers.<br>Activities and events have included:<br>- maintenance activity and social events at two<br>community orchards in public green spaces in<br>residential areas<br>- community engagement and outreach activities<br>(including Wallingford Carnival procession during<br>Great Big Green Week and a stall on the<br>Kinecroft)<br>- took part in Wallingford Town Council’s entry in<br>RHS Britain in Bloom competition (awarded the<br>Community Involvement award) and entered into<br>RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood for the Wantage<br>Road / Sinodun Road corner verge<br>- spring-flowering bulb planting on Castle Street<br>verge<br>- wildflowerpatch maintenance in the Bull Croft|
