with the charitable work of the
charity;
b) to relieve persons who are in
conditions of need or
hardship or who are aged or
sick and to relieve the
distress caused thereby in the
said location and in such
other parts of the United
Kingdom or the world as the
trustees may from time to
time think fit.
Summary of the main
activities in relation to
those purposes for the
public benefit, in
particular, the activities,		 Para 1.17 and
1.19		 We continued to meet together
regularly throughout the year. The
number of members remained
steady.
As a church we continued to donate
a monthly amount to the local Baby
projects or services
identified in the accounts.		 Bank. We continued our contact with
two overseas Christian workers and
their families. We maintained our
regular donations to the family in
Cyprus to support their ongoing
work. We had regular zoom calls with
the second couple in the Philippines,
giving them prayer support
throughout the year.
We ran two midweek meetings, one
for bible study on Tuesday evenings
at two separate locations and
another for prayers on Thursday
evenings at church members’
homes. These were led by
congregation members. We had two
additional small group gatherings
during the daytime for seniors who
weren’t able to join us on Sundays.
This brought friendship and spiritual
support.
We continued to assist one person
with their annual tax return.
As a church we continued to give
lifts to and from church for some of
our elderly members, without which
they would have found it difficult to
attend.
At Christmas time our annual carol
service,Carols by Torchlight, (with
live animals for the children) was
well attended by local children with
their families and elderly folk.
‘Little Bundles’, our Parent/Carer
birth to pre-school Toddler group on
Friday mornings, continued as a
thriving regular community
provision. This was very well
attended and enjoyed by parents,
carers and children. It provided a
safe and happy place for all who
came along.
We held threeAdventurers club days
at the Hall during the autumn half-
term, Christmas and summer
holidays for primary aged children.
This was with a view to starting
something regular for this age group
later in the school year.
In the school summer term we were
involved in starting up and leading
an after-school club called JAM
(Jesus and Me) in the local primary
school. This continued for the rest of
the school year.
We led the Easter Sunrise service on
Easter Sunday morning in the local
village with music for worship and a
short talk. We provided hospitality
with breakfast after the event which
was attended by three other
churches.
Courses on First-Aid, safeguarding,
and food hygiene were attended by
congregation members during the
year. A paediatric first-aid course,
organised by our church, was also
attended by twelve members of other
churches and friends of the
congregation.
