Summary of the Para 1.17 The objectives of the CIO are:
purposes of the charity a) the advancement of the
as set out in its Christian faith in Shropshire
governing document and in such other parts of
the United Kingdom or the
world in accordance with
the statement of beliefs
(listed at the end of this
constitution) and the
fulfilment of such other
purposes which are
exclusively charitable
according to the law of
England and are connected
with the charitable work of
the charity;
b) to relieve persons who are
in conditions of need or
hardship or who are aged or
sick and to relieve the
distress caused thereby in
the said location and in
such other parts of the
United Kingdom or the
world as the trustees may
from time to time think fit.

arranging shared supermarket deliveries for neighbours (as well as some church members who needed them) and delivered them to their doorsteps. As a church we continued to donate a monthly amount to the local Foodbank and also to a new Baby Bank that emerged in that time. These donations continue to date. In addition, we made contact with two overseas missionary families; one in Cyprus to whom we give regular donations for their work. The second is a couple in the Philippines with whom we have regular zoom calls, giving them prayer support throughout the year. We have been running a midweek meeting on Wednesday evenings at one of our member’s homes, led by another congregation member. One of our ladies from the afternoon Alpha group which continued to meet until Christmas has now moved to a different town and we helped her find a Methodist church there. As part of our church membership we have several needy people and have continued to assist one person with their annual tax return. Another has been in prison hospital for a number of months now with mental health issues but we have kept in touch by letter writing which has been an encouragement to him. We are still currently making two weekly home visits for encouragement as neither household is able to attend church meetings due to physical limitations. We pay for a taxi for one member who would not otherwise be able to attend on Sundays and we give lifts home for some of our elderly members. We have organised 3 free events (‘Christmas Bash’, ‘Lunch and Skittles’ and ‘Sunday breakfast’ in the summer months) this year for the community instead of our weekly gathering. They were very well attended and enjoyed by those who wouldn’t usually want
to go to church. Statement confirming Para 1.18 trustees reviewed guidance at whether the trustees trustee meetings have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit
