people. When we could not meet
up at all, earlier in the pandemic,
we held weekly Zoom church on a
Sunday afternoon where we were
also able to monitor the welfare
of our members. We purchased
the Zoom Professional package
for this purpose. As a result we
didn’t lose any members over the
period of the pandemic which has
been a problem for some
churches. We gained 3 members
mainly due to 1:1 friendship. We
arranged regular 1:1 meetings on
the local playing field for
members suffering with mental
health issues and guided them to
the specific professional help that
exists here in Shropshire which
led to their rehabilitation.
We were active in arranging
shared supermarket deliveries for
neighbours who were either
shielding or physically limited (as
well as some church members
who needed them) and delivered
them to their doorsteps.
As a church we started to donate
a monthly amount to the local
Foodbank and also to a new Baby
Bank that emerged at that time.
These donations continue to date.
