To encourage those first steps to learning an instrument, PYM arranges inspirational presentations by professional musicians, with follow-up: beginner group lessons for Brass, Woodwind, Strings, Percussion and voice, when teaching staff are available. Parents contribute a small amount (currently £10) towards a series of group lessons, which are then followed by lessons for smaller groups or individuals. PYM also supports a Big Band ensemble, and an annual concert for young musicians to gain performing experience. |
