CHARITY NUMBER:1190LK15 The trustees of Compassionate Kenilworth present their annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 March 2026. Following the charitfs success in tackllng the town's needs during the Covid-19 pandemic. and having identified the extent of social isolation. loneliness and vulnerdbility amongst citizens of the town. we continue to art a5 a catalyst and co-ordinator to promote a wide range of activities to support the needs of vulnerable groups in Kenilworth, drawing together a community response including the involvement of other local charities and support groups. Connecting people in this way, not only makes for a happier existen￿, but positively impacts both their mental and physical health OLrtcomes. Review artivities nd achievements Compassionate Kenilworth, driven by a collective desire to combat social isolation observed during the response to the Covid-19 pandemic. has become a beacon of hope, establishing various educational. social cafes and support cafes to addres5 community isolation. These include a monthlv bereavement cafe. a weekly techldigitsl support cafe, a weekly actlvities club, a weekly social club, a fortnightly arts and crafts hub, and a monthly Sur)day dinner session, all aimed at connecting people in need. During the year, we delivered 192 cafe5 With 5.562 attendances, provided emergency food to over ICNJ families. and benefited from 35 trained volunteers who provided 3.070 hours of voluntary work. A number of these hubs were delivered partnerships which included a further 2.832 partne￿hIp voluntary hours. We have been awarded The King s Award for Voluntary Service. Future The group will continue its communlty work. by continuing to look for Eaps in local provision- then work to establish, develop and encoura8e activities that provide support, motivation and encouragement to Kenilworth citizens with the aim of improving their quality of life. wellbein8 and health outcomes, particularty amongst elderly and vulnerable communities. Ourfinan¢es Funding for operations has come from public donations, contributions from service users and grdnts. Operational costs include the provision of supplies, volunteer expenses. cost of two paid stsff, telephone and IT costs and insurance. At 31 March 2026. funds in hand totalled £41,812. This is a small charity overseen by a board of trustees with relevant experience, working closely wrth a number of resourceful and dedicated volunteers. Trustees have been recruited for their skill sets. and capability and knowledge wrthin a chartty setting.
