REPORT OF TH£ TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024
The trustees of Compassionate Kenilworth present their annual report and accounts for the year
ended 31 Marth 2024.
Our airns and
The aims and objectives of the 8roup was originally to provide a support seryice for residents of
Kenilworth in response to the pandemic. but subsequently, having identified the extent of social
solation, lonelines5 and vulnerability amongst cf(izens of the town, arts as a catalyst and co-
ordinator to promote a wide range of activrties to support the need5 of vulnerable groups in
Kenilworth, drawing together a community response including the involvement of other local
charities. Connerting people in this way. not only makes for a happier existence, but positively
imparts both their mental and physical health outcornes.
Review ol acti¥itie5 and achievements
Compassionate Kenilworth, driven by a collective desire to combat social isolation observed during
the response to the Covid-19 pandemic, has become a beacon of hope, establishin8 various
educational and social cafes to add￿sS community isolation. These irKlude bereavement cafes,
tech/di8ital support hubs, and dinner and music sessions, all aimed at connecling people In need.
During the year, we created 240 social isolation hubs with 3,576 attendartces, provided emergency
food to 124 families, and benefited frorn 43 trained volunteers who provided 5,3tJ) hours of
voluntary work.
Future
The group will continue its community work, by continuing to establish. develop and encourage
activities to provide motivation and encouragement to Kenilworth Citizens aimed at improving
quality of life, particularly amongsi elderly and vulnerable communities.
Our finances
Funding for operations has come from public donations, contributions from se￿iCe users and grants.
Operational costs include the provlsion of supplies, volunteer expense5, Cost of two paid staff,
telephone and IT costs and insuTrnce. At 31 March 2024, fund5 in hand totalled £27.524.

I report to the trustees on my exarnination of the acccMJnts of the above charity for the period
ended 31 Mar(h 2024.
As the charity trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the requirement5 of the Charities Act 20111.the A¢t"l.
I report in respect of my examination of the charity accounts carried out under section 145 of the
2011 Act and in carrying out my examination. I have followed the applicable Directions given by the
Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act. I have completed my examination.
I confirm that no rTLaterial matters have come to my attention in connertion with the examination
which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concems and have come acros5 no other matters in connection with the examination to
which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be
reached.
