Make stuff Mend stuff Meet friends ## **January 2024 to December 2024 Trustees Annual Report** Although Harleston Town Council suggested in August 2023 that we might relocate on to the Recreation Ground, it took until January 2024 for the proposal to come to a council meeting. We revised all the plans to allow for our 3 shed proposal, as was on the previous planning application on the Fire Station Yard. The 3 shed proposal was based on a local business giving us the shed. However, it was decided that the 3 shed proposal was not in the best interests of the Harleston Shed and we decided to raise the extra funds and to buy one shed of approx. 60ft x 20ft proportions that would better suit our needs and make the build much easier. We spent time talking to suppliers and decided on Bourne Buildings who had also supplied the shed for the Ditchingham Men’s Shed. We visited other sheds to compare their buildings and to ensure that we were indeed making the right decision. We visited the supplier and they visited our site and advised on the plans. Talks were being held with different solicitors regarding a lease, for which we had great advice from Poringland Men’s Shed. Further meetings with the Town Council were necessary to give the new ‘one shed plan’ the go ahead. The proposal was agreed. We had regular committee meetings throughout the year.
