Make stuff Mend stuff Meet friends ## **January 2023 to December 2023 Trustees Annual Report** 2022 had seen issues of getting access to the rear of the Fire Station site and so we had looked at Saffron ‘gifting’ the land we wanted access over to the Town Council. . Then in 2023 the Town Council took a few months to get the topic on the meeting agenda. It was discussed in March and decided that a tree report was required to determine the cost of work to be done to the trees on the land and to include them in the Council’s portfolio. It was August 2023 when we took the proposals to a full Council meeting, when the councillors were voting to accept being gifted the land and the chair suddenly suggested that we simplify the issue by giving up on the Fire Station yard and to consider locating on the Council’s Memorial Ground instead. This was thought to be an excellent idea and site meetings were arranged to discuss the proposal in detail. The proposal was linked to the construction of public toilets to be built by the Football Club. We held our AGM on Saturday 2nd December 2023 at The Swan Hotel.
