MINUTES OF THE AGM

The meeting was conducted via Zoom at 5pm. Present were Charles Tritton, Jane Zambra and Diana Tritton

The meeting opened with the news that St. Mary’s church is in very good condition. In the coming year the only maintenance scheduled is the acquisition of an updated Electrical Certificate. The church’s own Fabric Fund will bear the cost of this.
Diana Tritton looked into the possibility of putting a Wifi system into the church. Sadly, this will not be possible until the telephone line is upgraded by BT. The signal as it stands is not strong enough to give us Wifi.
We have not as yet ordered a bench for the churchyard as planned, but we will soon. It will bear a plaque In Memory of Paul Tritton. The anticipated cost will be in the region of £550.
The Financial Report. This year our income from investments was £5092.10. Total expenses were £3020.00, bringing our new 31/12/23 balance to £12,665.49. The Treasurer at Gt. Leighs has told us that the utility and insurance expenses for 2022 were £2,827.00. The Committee therefore recommended that St. Mary’s church should be given £3000 as reimbursement for these costs.
There was further discussion about what to do with the left over £2,203.15 which is held by St. Mary’s Treasurer in a separate account which we are free to spend as we like. It was decided a new bench could come out of this amount and we would wait to see what else is needed.
There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 5.30. The next meeting will be announced in July.
