statement of Recommended Prnctice applicable to charities preparing thelr accounts
in accordan￿ with Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Rèpublicof
Ireland published in October 2019. The Charity is a non<ompany charity which had
an income of £250,000 or less in Ihe reporting period

The directors of the charitable organ isation are its trustees for the puwses of charity

Prfncl al actSvities
The promotion of socÉal indus#)n among disabled people from BAME commu nities in
the Northeast of England who are socially excluded from society, or parts of society,
as a result of their disability and assisting th6m to integrate into society.
Aims and Objectives
New Hope Northeast aims to provide:
education, tnfotmation, and oppO￿nItieS desÉgned to support and enable
disabled people to maximise their potential.
public awareness of the issues affecting disabled people. both generally and
in relation tr) Iheir social exclusion.
support groups. forums, advice, advocacy and general support for disabled
people and their familieslcarers.
recreational and leisure time adivities for disabled people. their
familieslcarers. provided in the interest of social wèlfare with the object of
improving their conditions of life and developing their skills, capacities, and
capabilities.
Flnanclal Review
The balance atthe beginning of the yearwas £54,929 of which £30.929 wa8
restricted funds. Total income during the yearending 31 May 2025, was £95,618
{2024 £73,080) of which £78,223 was restricted. Total expendiknre was £93,321
(2024 £69,770)

Structure, Govemance and Management
New Hope Northeast is a Charitable organ i&glion incorporated and registered with
the Charities Commission on 16th June 2020 with charity number 1189962.
Governlng Document
The organisation is a charitable company limited by guarantee, govemed by its
Memorandum and Articles of Association dated 16th Ju ne 2020. and was registered
with the Charitycommission from 161h June2020. In the eventof the company being
wound up, members are required to contribute an amount notexceeding £10.
Appoinlment of Trustees
New trustees are appointed on the recommendation of existing trusteeslmembers.
There is a required minimum of three tsustees but no maximum number:
TrL¢Stees whose tu m it is to retire each year will be automatically re-elected unless
they orthe remaining trustees decide olherwise.
Trustees, Induction and Training
Trustees are already familiar with the work of the charity. Naw trustees are provid
with Charity Commission guidancefor new trustees, along with financeand process
documentation. and minutes of previous trustees. meetings. They are also given
introduction to the WOTk of Ihe charity and Iheir responsibilities.
Trustees are encouraged to attend appropriate intemallextemal training events to
facilitate the undertaking of Iheirrol8s and to keep up to date with legislative change&
Going Concem
The firFancial statements have been prepared on a going concem basis as the
trustees believe that no material un¢ertainties exist. The Trustees have reasonable
expectation thatthe Charity has adequate resources to continue in operational
exlstence for the foreseeable future.
Reserves pollcy
The charity retains reserves of at least 3 months expenditure to ensure that it has
fu nds to complete its committed operations for the period. The charity had reseNes
of £39,818 at the end of Ihe pertod.

my attention in connection wilh the examination giving me cause to believe that in
