1.0 Introduction

Midzi is a registered charity operating in England, Wales, Malawi and Zimbabwe. During the period under review, the charity set out to achieve the following objects.

1) To preserve and protect the good health and well-being of women and girls, particularly, but not exclusively, concerning all areas of female reproductive and sexual health including but not exclusively by:

2) To relieve the needs of women and girls, particularly, but not exclusively, those who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, sexual and gender-based violence by providing education and access to support structures to assist women and girls live dignified lives free from violence

The charity went through a post Covid 19 recovery period and managed to set up volunteer structures to aid its operations.

1.1 Outreach and Operations

During the period under review, the organisation managed to raise 1000 pounds from individual allies. The funds were used to support our strategic goal of promoting girls' education. The charity sustained its operations and continued supporting 11 girls in Zimbabwe whom we supported in 2020 with their educational needs. This ensured that the girls' education was not disrupted and managed to keep them in school. The 11 girls have become role models in their communities, encouraging other families to prioritise girls' education. While our efforts are still a drop in the ocean compared to the urgent need for education, our model of building role models has a ripple effect where the 11 girls are providing mentorship for other girls at their school, Nemangwe Primary. As we continue to scale up our activities, we hope to contribute to a movement of young women and girls that are educated and thriving in all spheres of their lives. The charity continues to crowdfund for its initiatives and increase its pool of unrestricted funds, enabling the charity to respond to the practical needs of its beneficiaries.

In the UK, the charity has engaged Swansea University to reach out to students at the university who are at risk of or have experienced sexual abuse, domestic abuse and all forms of violence.

The charity's annual implementation plan will see the charity having established support clubs in 3 Universities in Wales and 3 in England. The charity has also developed a fundraising plan to scale its activities up in the 6 UK universities.

2.0 Future plans
