Goodnews International Annual Report

We have had no significant yearly change from our last year submission.

OBJECTIVES

The objects of the CIO are to advance the Christian faith for the public benefit in accordance with the statement of beliefs [and practices] in Sandwell & Dudley area and in such other parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the charity trustees may from time-to-time think fit and to fulfil such other purposes which are exclusively charitable according to the law of England and Wales and relate to the charity work of the charity. We ensure that ordinary people from the public can live out their faith according to conscience and law

Board of Trustees (BOT)

The BOT has not changed and are willing to continue according to the tenure stated. Tenure started on the 20th of May 2020

Jude Ihugba for four years; Chioma Munonyedi for three years and Mgbechi Ihugba for two years. All tenures have been extended by 4 years

The BOT are the main volunteers and assign roles/tasks during meetings. They have had regular meetings (more than 3 times a year) to ensure that the objective of the CIO is achieved. The church does not employ anyone, and the BOT have general oversight of all activities.

Worship and Prayer.

We have continued to offer meetings where prayers can be made individually and collectively. We have done this via in-person meetings and on our zoom platforms. Our in-person meetings have been done at Park Methodist Church Tipton, who have allowed us to use their church hall in a paid arrangement. These meetings are open to the public, advertised in signage outside the church building and on Facebook. We have also begun to livestream on YouTube, and this will ensure that those unable to come into the meeting physically still engage in communal worship. At present, we have a total of 14 persons who are regular worshippers. Our regular attendance can be much more due to resident and non-resident visitors attending carol services and mini-music festivals. We have had no change in membership numbers since moving into Park Methodist. The Church is considering a location change to enable us to accommodate the increasing number of children who attend celebratory events during the year. The church has no assets apart from a blue tooth speaker, projector and projector screen.

Our financial records have been submitted online via the Charity commission website.

These notes have been approved by the BOT on 19/06/24.
