The Nottingham Council of Mosques continued working primarily in the fields of Health, Cemeteries, Islamophobia and Mosque advocacy to meet our stated objectives above to promote understanding between mosques and to advance the Islamic faith.

Significant health improvement work was done by holding Life Saver events and Healthy Ramadan awareness events within mosques thus promoting unity between mosques by working together on the same project. It also advanced the teachings of Islam by helping many muslims realise that health awareness and wellbeing was an important part of Islamic teachings.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

Nottingham Council of Mosques were involved in supporting many of the burials in Nottingham providing guidance and support to bereaved families. We continued liaising with the City Council to ensure speedy and appropriate burials were carried out for the muslim community. Again, this fulfilled our objective of joining mosques together to promote unity and understanding and improve burial services for muslims thoroughout Nottingham. The Nottingham Council of Mosques visited schools to educate children about Islam and to promote unity and cohesiveness within our communities and fulfil our objective of achieving religious harmony between communities.

The Nottingham Council of Mosques continued to liaise closely with the Police and City Council to tackle islamophobia support the safety of all our communities.

We advocated on behalf of the muslim community in many different forums to ensure that our views were heard and services and policies appropriately delivered and developed.

We represented Nottingham muslims at forums including Muslim Council of Britain meetings, National Burial Council and the Beacon Mosque Awards.
