Section C Ob'ectives and activities To promote for the benefit the resident5 of the ward of Druids Heath and Monyhall and the surrounding area, the provision of facilities for education, recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth. age, infimity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public al large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life Df the said inhabitants. In furtherance of these ol¥'ects but not otherwise, the trustees shall have power to establish or secure the establishment of a community hall and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authorily in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities promoted by the charity in furtheran of the above oty'ecls Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document The charity provides a range of services to the local community dependent on need The charity manages the hall which is rented from the local authority and this facility is made available lo a range of user groups. They provide lunches to the elderly and also enable large support groups and organisations from a wide variety of backgrounds to use Ihe hall for meetings and activrties. A local sporls group use the hall on a regular basis and this is supplemented by the hiring of the hall by members oflhe community for special events. Provide activrties and lunch to schoolchildren up to the age of 11 at half term time when the tharity has the required funds. Provide a food bank two days a week. The charity applies for a variety of grants to cover running costs and to supplement the activities made available to the community. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charity during Ihe year The charity continues to provide a range of services lo the local communily such as.. warm food to those in need" food bank services., laundry facilities,. and otr communal activities. Lunches continued to be served to Ihe elderly through the year. The hall a150 provided meeting facilities for a number of support groups and organisations in the Itxal area. The assoryation provide housing support advi and a number of other much needed service5 to those in need in the community. The charity also continued to provide a food bank two days of the week.
