He Said She SaidTheySaid Thanksto the Peoples Postcode Lotterywe produced an exciting
new performance. exploringgender in modern Herefordshire. Six monologueswere written by
six local writers. all with different identrties and sexual orientations, based on their stories about
living and growing up in a small rural p18ce. These were performed to a live audience in March
2024 with wonderfulfeedback from thosewho attended.Afilm was made and went live Later in
the year highlighting the six plays educating and inspiring others around gender and identity-
Meetthe middle-aged actor struggling wtth his role in an entirely ungiamorous
advert, hear how a grandmothergrapple's with her granddaughter's lrfe-choi¢es and be
transported back to Elizabethan EngLand.werethe boundaries between male and female were
not always so clear cut...
Through our free-to-attend drama groups. it became clear that gender and identity is an
incredibly important issuefortheir members. So this iswhyweworked with othercommunity
groups, charities 8nd services in Herefordshire to gain an insight into opinions about gender and
how this could be used to create a set of six p12ys and films to educate others and help create a
communitythat has a better understanding ofeouality and community cohesion.
