**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 19 LIVING IN GREATER MANCHESTER BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF: (A) ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES, AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. (B) ADVANCING EDUCATION. (C) RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT. (D) PROVIDING RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE. 2) TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH AMONG CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 19 LIVING IN GREATER MANCHESTER BY THE PROVISION OF HEALTHY LIVING PROGRAMMES AND SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY SERVICES DESIGNED TO HELP REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF MENTAL HEALTH ILLNESS AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE AND THE NEGATIVE IMPACT IT CAN HAVE ON THEIR LIFE CHANCES.

**Activities:** Choices youth support provides a range of development programmes to equip young people to become the best they can be and for children to have the best start in life. To help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.
